Skill Building Groups is a small group-based ABA therapy. It is designed for learners from similar age and skills level to practice skills that will be cover in our IBI program.
Similar to our IBI program, Skills Building programs and curriculums are designed by Senior Therapist.
What We Teach
Program focused on the areas of:
- Learning readiness skills
- Receptive language
- Expressive language
- Functional communication
- Academics
- Fine motor, gross motor
- Self-help
- Behaviour management
- Other skill areas as needed
Skills Building Group runs two to three sessions per week. There is a maximum of 3 to 4 children in each group. Children will alternate to receive a combination of intensive 1:1 training and DYAD teaching (1:2) during each session to practice the aforementioned skills.

Candidates
- Intermediate to Advance learners who can benefit from alternate one to one and peers-paired learning.
- Intake assessment must be completed prior to service.
Note:
A minimum participation of 2 sessions per week is required.
*Please call to confirm availability and exact times of sessions. Each student is required to attend an intake session. Student’s learning readiness skills, language skills, and social skills will be reviewed during the intake session. Results will be used to place student to the appropriate group to ensure a conducive learning environment.
